One Sentence Summary (who are you?)
I am a fun, energetic, jokester chasing a goal while doing what I love.
Walter did his first triathlon in 2012, but really started to focus on the sport in the fall of 2014. Growing up in Colorado, he has the athleticism we are looking for from mountain biking and climbing. Out of high school he competed at the World Cross Country Championships in 2010, yet he never reached his run potential in college because of the program he was in. Walter’s swim, rooted in poor upper body flexibility, is his limiter, but in a short time already as part of the CRP he has cut 6 seconds from his best 100 free by focusing on technique, frequency and volume. Walter will debut his elite career at the Cuba Continental Cup Feb. 14th, race the Tritonman EDR February 22nd, then hit the Clermont/Sarasota ITU races in March.
