In 2019, we are thrilled to announce that the Columbia Threadneedle Investments Boston Triathlon will once again join other major urban triathlons in the U.S. as an Olympic Distance Race! The start and finish will be at DCR Carson Beach and DCR Mother’s Rest Fields, and will take advantage of the closed roads and pathways along the South Boston shoreline.

The swim course starts and finishes on DCR Carson Beach near the DCR McCormack Bathhouse and follows a trapezoidal path to the finish line.

The flat loop course is on a number of wide, car-free roads, including DCR William Day Blvd. The entire bike course will be closed to vehicular traffic and managed by state troopers.

The run course highlights the best of Boston , with spectacular views of the harbor and the Boston Skyline. It is a loop course that finishes back at DCR Mother’s Rest Field.
